Description
The Leofoto LMP-404CL(Long) Water-Resistant Carbon Fiber Tripod is a premium version of the standard LM Series tripods featuring new water-resistant technology and accessories such as titanium foot spikes. It is a compact carbon-fiber travel tripod made with carbon fiber and 6061-T6 aluminum components that is designed to perform on beaches and in snowy conditions that would render other tripods useless. The twist-lock system keeps the legs free from sand and water.

With the tripod's three variable leg angle stops, it allows you to splay the legs completely out. At the tripod's apex, the spider has been hollowed out, which adds to the relevance of the tripod's light weight. Additionally, the mounting platform is removable, so it can be exchanged with the included 100mm video bowl to install a fluid head. An integrated 3/8"-16 socket is made available on the side of the spider for photo or video accessories. Leofoto tripods come with a carrying case to store or travel with the support system.

Leofoto products are amazing, end of. I now own three Leofoto tripods and various other bits from them too. I was always intrigued by the shimless legs, so back in 2018 I pulled the trigger on the LN-404C and have been so pleased with its rigidity. I recently bought the stunning LMP-404CL(Long) Water-Resistant Tripod and not only is it visually beautiful, but also lighter than my LN-404C and goes a little bit taller too, which is a plus. My only complaint with it would be the lack of rubber 'leg warmer'. On a cold morning shooting sunrise, my poor hand got rather cold very quickly! Other than that, for me and my needs, it is a perfect tripod. I mainly shoot landscapes with a Sony A7RV setup, but occasionally will lug around my 6X9 Fuji medium format, or other large and heavy gear, so the stability comes in handy here. Anyway, I am super happy with this tripod and all my other Leofoto products....now, stop sending me offers as I'll end up with no money! Jokes, I need to satisfy my gear acquisition syndrome somehow.
